【NEW ARRIVE】HOLLIS F1 LT FIN

2020-09-09
As avid scuba divers, we’ve all run into fin problems. Too flimsy, too long, too thin…the list goes on, but we can all agree that getting stuck on a dive or snorkel mission with a sub-par pair of fins can undercut overall enjoyment.

With such frustrations in mind and a desire to craft a tough fin that would excel on recreational and technical dives, we designed and engineered the F1 LT. Lightweight and powerful, the Hollis F1 LTs are the strong, sturdy fins you’ve been looking for to round out your dive kit.

Originally an offshoot of Hollis’ classic standby, the F1, the F1 LTs were built to be more buoyant than their predecessor models. This change is for divers looking to don a wetsuit and dive in conditions that don’t demand a negative fin, such as when diving in a dry suit.

But in addition to the designer’s original intent, the F1 LT has evolved into an awesome tech fin with serious benefits—no matter your dive preference. Plus, with the release of our new White and Yellow F1 LT models this summer, now’s a great time to finally pick up a pair and bring the high-vis, easy-to-spot fins to all of your deepest, darkest tech dives.

But what else is so good about the F1 LT? In the list below, we highlight some key benefits of their performance and why they might be your next favorite fin.

1.) LIGHTWEIGHT SEBS COMPOUND

The Lightweight SEBS compound decreases the effort you’re required to make per kick, meaning less oxygen demands per breath—meaning, on average, a longer dive time. And you’ll also have more energy left for the next dive or adventure!

2.) SHORT BLADE FOR EASIER FINNING IN CONFINED SPACES

Especially relevant in the tight places common in tech diving, the F1 LT’s short blade allows you to kick in narrower corridors or confined chambers without damaging your surroundings or kicking up a cloud of muck.

3.) ANGLED STRAP MOUNTS FOR COMFORT & A BETTER TRANSITION OF POWER

Unlike most fins, the F1 LT’s angled strap mounts use physics and leverage to your advantage, increasing power and efficiency with every kick.

4.) SPRING HEEL STRAPS WITH EASY-GRIP HEEL TAB

It often seems like nobody likes the cheap, plasticky heel straps that have become common in the industry today. That’s why the F1 LTs have a resilient spring-heel strap made from metal and dressed with an easy-grip heel tab. More durable and easier to don/doff, what’s not to love?

5.) VENTED BLADE REDUCES STRESS WHILE PUSHING WATER OVER BLADE

The hydrodynamically designed vented blade increases the efficiency with which water glades over and through the fin, again upping your bang per kick and decreasing the overall energy demands of each and every dive.

6.) GENEROUS FOOT POCKET

The F1 LT’s spacious foot pocket enables our big-footed friends to get a kick in, too. It also lets all of you cold-water connoisseurs bulk up with neoprene socks, boots or other aquatic footwear.
